Serena Buck

Serena Buck joined Ascent in 2014 and is responsible for directing all phases of petroleum land management, including acquisitions and divestitures for the company. Previously, Ms. Buck served as Director of Land at American Energy Partners. With over 30 years of experience in upstream exploration and production (E&P), she held land management roles in multiple conventional and unconventional plays, most recently serving as Land Manager for the Marcellus Shale for Chesapeake Energy Corporation. Ms. Buck has also served in various land management roles for TXO Production Corp., Marathon Oil Company and EOG Resources, Inc. Ms. Buck is a Certified Professional Landman and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Oklahoma City University. She is a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL) and several local chapters, Energy Explorers and Lean In Energy and has also served as a mentor for the Energy Management program at the University of Oklahoma for more than 10 years.
