Serena Buck

Serena D. Buck, Senior Vice President – Land. Serena D. Buck became our Senior Vice President – Land in March 2023. Previously, Ms. Buck served as Vice President – Land for Ascent from 2015 to February 2023 and Director of Land at AELP from April 2013 to 2015. With over 40 years of experience in upstream exploration and production, Ms. Buck has held land management roles in multiple unconventional basins. Prior to joining AELP, Ms. Buck spent 9 years at Chesapeake Energy Corporation, where she served as Land Manager and was responsible for both Oklahoma and Appalachian basins, and she previously held various land management roles for TXO Production Corp., Marathon Oil Company and EOG Resources, Inc. Ms. Buck is a 2023 Hart Energy 25 Influential Women in Energy honoree and was awarded the William Majors Distinguished Service Award for her involvement in mentoring young land professionals. Ms. Buck holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Oklahoma City University and is a Certified Professional Landman
